Large tree, size group 7 - 8
Deciduous with long lanceolate or oblong leaves
The tree grows into an ovate shape with open branching, therefore grass is able to grow underneath.
It grows quickly, has fine textured foliage that becomes yellowish/reddish in the fall.
It likes full sun, moderate to moist soil and is more tolerant of transplanting than most trees of its kind in the eastern/central USA
